CNC mist collectors- A preface

Mechanical process predominantly uses CNC machines that are constantly used for calibrating details about specifications of machine and other important calculations. But these machines are installed at a place where they are subjected to dust and smoke that might hinder the intricate mechanism of CNC mist collectors. This may lead to the damage of such machines and hence these machines need to be protected from harmful contaminants. CNC mist collectors are produced with an aim to absorb the contaminants that hinder the functionality of the CNC machines.

CNC mist collectors- Advantages and types

During the mechanical process, there is loot of heat and pressure that are released which gets mixed with the coolant and form tiny droplets that get settled on the machines. However, the amount of the mist produced depends on the type and quality of the coolant used.

There are two ways to collect the mist, in one of the ways The CNC Mist Collector could be placed directly at the source to capture the mist and dust. A canopy hood could be placed that would prevent the mist from spreading into the environment. However, if it is not feasible to place the CNC mist collector at the source then it could be placed at an appropriate place to filter the ambience air and clean the environment.

There are two types of CNC mist collectors, in one of the type of CNC Mist Collector, the motor is fixed on the top and filter is placed below. This type of CNC mist collector could be wall mounted. In the second type of CNC mist collector, the filter and motor are placed inside the iron base. In this type of CNC mist collector, it could be directly mounted on the machine to absorb the mist generated from the source.

The CNC mist collector is highly cost-efficient and improves the quality of production and hence it is most preferred in all manufacturing sectors.

Mist Collector- A preface

Production and manufacturing industries are prone to pollution. Pollution affects the environment and thus hampers the machine and the workers. It is essential to create an environment that is safe and healthy to work. Powertech Pollution ControlsPVT Ltd has produced a mist collector that collects dust and mist, generated by machines working under high heat and pressure. The mist collector absorbs the dust and mist and clears the contaminants. It releases clean, fresh air that prevents serious health hazards.

How does mist collector ensure the safety of the workers?

The Mist and the Dust accumulated on the machines can cause serious health issues to the employees if they are exposed for a longer duration. Employees may suffer from skin irritation, breathing difficulties and sometimes they may be prone to more critical health issues like cancer too. To ensure the safety of the employee and to provide a better environment to work, mist collector extracts all the dust and mist from the environment and produces pollution-free, clean air to breathe.

Mist Collector
Mist Collector absorbs large droplets of polluted air through a mechanical component called mist Impinge. The tiny droplets which remain unabsorbed are removed using the concept of electrostatic precipitation. It ionizes the small droplets of oil and is seized in the filter, thus releasing fresh and clean air into the environment.

Mist collector- A safety measure

Government regulations have become more firm and uncompromising. Every industry has adopted safety measures to provide a safe environment. Metalworking fluids contain contaminants that affect the health of the employee. Mist Collector has eased the issue by eliminating the source thereby creating a much safer environment to work. It is also essential to use good quality mist filters that ensure efficiency and best outcome. Therefore, while buying mist collector it is vital to adhere to three points that is efficiency, filter life, and usage.

Understanding CNC unit

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) unit is used to automate machine tools using the software programs such as CAD (computer aided design) and CAM ( computer Aided manufacturing). They produce the most accurate and comprehensive methods to operate a particular machine. In some cases, Robotic operators are used in placing components from one machine to another. If they are damaged by mist and dust, it would affect their performance. These units are highly sophisticated and must be handled with utmost care.  Power tech Pollution Controls Pvt Ltd has provided an ultimate solution to overcome the problem. CNC Mist Collector is used to collect mist and dust to keep the machines intact.

How do mist and dust affect CNC unit?

Most of the machines work under high pressure and generate heat. When the hot air comes in contact with the coolant it produces tiny droplets which form as a mist on the machine. The accumulation of the level of the mist depends on the type of the lubricant or coolant used. Large droplets are formed from water based coolant and tiny droplets are formed from the oil based coolant.  If the machines generate more heat and pressure, the mist becomes more concentrated.

CNC Mist Collector
Mist hampers the condition of the machine and therefore affects the overall operation. CNC Mist Collector comes in handy to absorb the mist accumulated, which helps in maintaining the healthy condition of the machines.

How do CNC mist collectors protect CNC unit?

CNC Mist Collector enhances the functionality of the CNC unit by collecting mist and dust that gets accumulated on the machines. CNC Mist Collector could be mounted near the source thus preventing mist and dust from spreading into the environment. To prevent contamination of air, ambiance mist collectors could be used to filter the ambiance air.

A CNC Mist Collector purifies the work environment and thus maintains the health of machines and man force. CNC Mist Collector increases the lifespan of the machines and also improves the quality of production. CNC mist collector reduces the maintenance and operational cost of the machines and thus making it more popular among the manufacturing industry for controlling pollution.

Design fundamentals of Mist Collectors that you must know

Mist collectors are effective devices that help in providing clean air and safe working environment to the employees. Mist is nothing but tiny droplets of water and air which dampens the surroundings. Not only it is harmful for people working around, but it also spoils machines and tools. Especially, electronic machines are highly sensitive to it. When an efficient mist collector is installed in the premises, there is a significant reduction in the density of water droplets. Mist Collector India is a renowned and reputed name for good quality mist collection systems for a variety of applications.
Mist collectors: The fundamentals
All types of mist collectors capture tiny droplets and make large drops that get drained out so that they don’t harm the machines or operators. In Turning and Milling operations, the size of droplets is between 2 to 20 microns. In the case of oil-based coolants, the size is between .5 to10 microns. The mechanism of removing the droplets from the system varies. When you choose a particular type of mist collection system, it is important to know the feasibility and suitability of it.
Ask Mistcollectorindia about it with detailed requirement specifications so that they can suggest the best type.
Mist Collector

Electrostatic precipitation
When the mist passes through a unit called Ionizer, it gets charged with Positive or Negative Charge. The condensation unit has grounded plates of high-voltage charge which attracts the charged droplets and drains them out of the collector unit. Since there are no filters used, they don’t need recurrent expenses of replacing filters. However, it is critically important to clean the electrostatic parts for 100% efficiency. Thus, there are maintenance overheads.
These filters are preferred by units where mist generation is high. Since there is no need of replacing filters, electrostatic precipitation gives high throughput in spite of repeated maintenance requirement.
Inertial separation
It is based on the principle of removing the droplets by a strong airstream that diverts around the collection surface. Since the droplets have the moment of inertia, they try to remain on the same path and get coalesced with other particles. Thus, an air stream forms which drains out subsequently. Here also there is no need for changing filters. However, regular maintenance is required for keeping the system effective.  Inertial separation is greatly effective when the size of the droplets is bigger. For droplets less than 2 microns, it doesn’t perform with 100% efficiency.
Mist Collector india offers all types of mist collection choices including the traditional filter-based systems. You need to look at the requirement specifications first. Incorrect choice leads to productivity loss and inefficiency of the system. Make sure that the system gives maximum throughput and value for money so that your work environment is safe from mist generated hazards.
